If you’re looking to get into PC gaming, your choices can seem overwhelming with so many parts and customization options out there. That’s why we’ve created the Lyte Gaming PC a system that puts the emphasis on performance, reliability, and ease of use, all at an affordable price point. You don’t have to be a hardcore gamer to appreciate an amazing video game experience, but if you are, our system will blow you away. Let’s take a look at what makes our system so special!
The Key Components
To make a great gaming machine, you need to start with a strong processor. That’s why we’ve given each Lyte Gaming PC an Intel Core i7-9700K – one of their latest 8th Generation Coffee Lake Refresh chips – and with 6 cores, 12 threads, and up to 4.9GHz Turbo clock speeds, it certainly delivers in performance. Alongside that is NVIDIA’s GTX 1660 Ti – easily one of our favorite budget graphics cards for 1080p gaming at high detail settings. Since you might want to upgrade parts down the line or add things like SSDs (we don’t include them in all PCs), you can find full specs on our FAQ page here! And since many gamers like to tweak their own system configurations, we provide plenty of flexibility when it comes to adding additional components later on. But if you just want something out-of-the-box that’ll handle your current games well and give you room to grow as your needs change, then look no further than a Lyte Gaming PC! We’re confident these systems will deliver what they promise. For example, if they claim they can run Fortnite at 120fps/1080p but actually only manage 50fps/720p instead, then we won’t take your money until we’ve delivered on what was promised! And should anything go wrong with your system after delivery, rest assured knowing there’s a 3 year warranty included for peace of mind too.
Choosing a case is probably one of the most important decisions you’ll make in terms of your gaming PC setup. However, it’s also one of those things that can be hard to explain over-the-phone and impossible to convey via email or text. There are just too many variables involved (size, airflow, capacity, etc.). Thankfully for our customers we have an easy solution with our customizable gaming computer cases. Each case has been designed with gamers in mind by using custom accessories and cooling solutions so you don’t have to think about what type of hardware you want and instead can focus on making decisions that will make your new gaming computer truly yours.
In order to run games smoothly, you’ll need a computer with a fast processor. While it may be tempting to just grab any old PC off of Amazon and call it good, if you want truly stunning graphics then you’ll want a machine with an Intel Core i7-8700K CPU. The speed of your CPU is measured in gigahertz (GHz), so look for at least 4 GHz if you can find it. The Lyte custom gaming PCs come standard with an 8700K CPU which has speeds that go up to 4.7 GHz; we hand pick each component specifically to offer top performance at great prices. No other company offers that kind of quality and customer service!
What’s a gaming machine without a killer graphics card? The Lyte Gaming PC is powered by Nvidia’s newest GeForce® GTX 1080, which delivers up to 3x faster performance than previous-generation graphics cards. It also supports innovative gaming technologies and breakthrough VR experiences, making it well-suited for next-gen games such as TitanfallTM 2 and Warcraft III – Reforged. Plus, you can experience smooth, high frame rates on all your favorite titles.
To power up a gaming system that runs on hundreds of high-end components and graphics cards, you’ll need a powerful power supply to supply clean, stable energy. The system used in our Lyte Gaming PC includes an ultra-high performance 800W Power Supply to provide superior energy for your gaming components.
The Lyte Gaming PC is designed with hard drives specifically for performance-based games. While SSDs are exponentially faster than hard drives, they don’t yet have enough space to hold every game on your computer. The ideal system holds a number of large games on an SSD and then uses an external storage drive for all other data, like videos and smaller games. We recommend at least 4 TB of storage space so you’ll always have room for your library of games.
The best gaming PCs are going to come with a keyboard and mouse, but you can add on all kinds of extras. Keyboards can be expensive, with lots of customizable options and they’re typically worth it. A gaming keyboard is a little more specialized in some cases it will have buttons that let you control certain actions in-game without needing to use a mouse (for example). On cheaper keyboards, don’t expect LED lights or anything like that get something basic for now if you’re looking to save money. For your mouse, again, get something basic and upgrade later if you want.
