During the main story of the game, Chai and the other characters can only wear their default outfits. After you finish the story, you can go to CNMN’s costume shop. Here, you can buy outfits for Chai, 808, Peppermint, Macaron, CNMN, and Korsica with your gears. Some of the outfits are pretty cool.
Chai’s Dapper Set
Chai looks like a cool guy who makes his own rules, so he usually dresses like a slacker. Still, he’s not a bad-looking guy, so if he cleaned up a little, he’d look quite dapper.
Chai’s Dapper set replaces his jeans with stylish pinstripe pants, his t-shirt and jacket with a stylish button-down shirt, tie, and suit jacket, and his torn scarf with a fancier, fixed scarf. Even his robotic arm has a bell and valves added to it to make it look like a cool trumpet.
Chai’s Superhero Set
Even though the magnetic arm that picks up trash wasn’t really meant to be super, when you put it together with Chai’s music-powered heart, you get a pretty cool superhero idea. All he needs is the right look to finish it.
Chai’s Superhero set gives him a proper superhero outfit, with a sleek yellow and black pattern and a red-and-white striped hero scarf. He even has a cool helmet with a visor and a lightning bolt on the top. It’s too bad “Guitar Hero” has a copyright, because it would be a great name for a superhero.
Peppermint’s Streetwear Outfit
Peppermint’s usual outfit is meant to show that function is more important than style. It has lots of pockets and pouches for her tools and guns and still gives her a lot of room to move. It’s a cool style, but if someone always wears it, you kind of want to see them in something more comfortable.
Peppermint’s Streetwear outfit consists of a pair of cargo pants that look comfortable, a red track jacket, and a bright yellow sun visor. The hip pouch makes it still very useful, but it’s also good for hanging out with friends.
Peppermint’s 808 Cosplay
Peppermint’s voice comes out of 808’s speakers for the first time, which is why Chai was so surprised to learn that she was a separate person. What if she wasn’t, though? What if Peppermint was a cat all along?
Peppermint’s 808 Cosplay gives us a hint of this idea by having her wear an all-black kigurumi onesie with 808’s bright blue ears, paws, and whiskers. Even her prosthetic leg has been repainted black and given white stripes to make it look more like her.
Macaron’s Luchador Outfit
It’s almost a scientific fact that luchadors automatically make everything cooler, and if anyone knows anything about scientific facts, it’s Macaron. Even though he’s a pacifist, he’s got a great body for body slams, so how about we show you?
Macaron’s Luchador costume gives him a yellow, red, and blue wrestling leotard, and the gold champion belt around his waist makes the whole thing stand out. It has a bright green luchador mask on top. He doesn’t even need holds or slams to win a match; he could probably do it with a long hug.
Macaron’s Jazz Outfit
Compared to someone like Chai, Macaron is not much of a hard rocker. He seems like the type of person who likes smoother music, and smooth jazz is about as smooth as it gets. Aw yeah.
Macaron’s jazz outfit is a blue-green button-down shirt with a lively vest wrapped around it. His usual beige cargo shorts have been replaced with white slacks, and he’s wearing a blue-green fedora that’s tilted at a very funky angle on top. Tell us you wouldn’t love to go to a jazz club and see this guy play.

As Head of Security for Vandelay Technologies, Korsica not only needs to know what her security team can do, but she also needs to be ready to step in when needed. That means she is in great shape and will stay that way.

808 is a beautiful cinnamon roll who deserves to get what she wants, which most of the time is to help. She already does a lot to help, but if she wanted to do a little extra work somewhere, who are we to say no?
In 808’s “Part-Timer” outfit, she wears a cute employee shirt and hat, and instead of her usual collar, there is a logo. 808 has a round body that makes her easy to hug, so it’s no surprise that this little hat fits perfectly on her head. CNMN’s Hot Dog Outfit
Remember how we said that only a certain kind of person could get away with looking like an idiot in public? CNMN is one of only a few of these. CNMN can pull off almost any look, no matter how silly, because he has good posture and is always happy and willing to help. Or in this case, no matter how ready for the grill.
The Hot Dog costume from CNMN is, well, a hot dog costume with ketchup and mustard. Except for CNMN, no one else in this cast has the right body type and posture to really be a hot dog. We’re proud of him because he wears that dog like a gentleman.
