I experimented with many materials, including raw selvedge denim and stretch denim of varying weights.

What follows is a detailed examination of each pair…

LIN SKINNIER THAN A NUDIE

True slim jeans, those are. I have skinny legs even for a man my height (5’6″), and they don’t fit. Squeezing you in from the hips to the thighs and all the way down to the crotch, these pants are tight.

SLIM AND NUDIE IN LIN

They’re a little too skintight for my current tastes, but I’d purchase them again if they came in a 29 waist. However, Nudie jeans men I do like that they aren’t very low-rise (which is the case with most skinny jeans).

DAMN TIGHT NAKED TERRY

Tight Terry, like Skinny Lin, has a very trim build.

It’s really close to Skinny Lin, in fact. I’m not convinced if there’s much of a change in the actual slimness through the leg.

NUDIE TIGHT TERRY FIT

Compared to Skinny Lin, Tight Terry has a more slanted waist that’s somewhat higher in the rear. It’s nice and soft, but I much like Skinny Lin’s design, which has the pockets on the back instead of the front.

NUDIE LEAN AND MEAN

The Lean Dean fit, one of Nudie’s best-sellers, was my personal favorite.

NUDIE LEAN DEAN

To my mind, it strikes the ideal balance between a looser fit and a tighter, more tailored one. Dean, the slender nudist, was a perfect match.

I can see why the Lean Dean is Nudie jeans men most popular style of fit. The cut is universally flattering and will look well on a wide range of body shapes.

Despite having a 28′′ inseam, this pair of Paris did seem a little long. Denim will probably shrink a little more after being washed and dried than it did while it was dry.

CONFESSIONALLY NAKED THINKIN’ FINN

If you appreciate thin or tapered fits, you may enjoy Thin Finn more than Lean Dean, one of Nudie’s initial cuts.

However, the style of these jeans is perfect for me. This leg has the ideal proportions.

The only thing I don’t like about them is that the rear pockets are so low. I think a more conventional setup might work better.

HAPPY GRIM TIM NUDIE

The Grim Tim is a slimmer version of the classic straight leg jean.

Compared to Thin Finn and the other slim/skinny cuts, this one provides more space in the thighs and calves, making it the perfect option for athletic physiques.

THE BARE GRIM REAPER

Also, the classic posture of Grim Tim in the back pocket is one of my favorites (better than Thin Finn, in my opinion). Like Thin Finn, I scaled down to a 27 and the waist was somewhat snug.

Though it would be bearable with some use, a size 28 would be preferable right out of the package.

ADAM, SLIM AND NUDIE

As an experiment, I purchased a pair of Slim Adam chinos in the Bunker hue to wear instead of jeans (which I love, by the way).

According to Nudie’s sizing calculator, I should choose a size 27, but it looked absurdly tiny.

When I questioned whether they were as slender as the Lean Dean fit, the customer support agent gave me an ambiguous answer.

After giving them a try on, I can confirm that Slim Adam is a thin fit chino, not a slim or slim-straight. There’s a middle ground between Tight Terry and Lean Dean.
